  • Healing and Reconciliation Service for Children Returning From Foster Care

The AFRUCA Healing and Reconciliation Service provides online or face-to-face short term confidential and culturally appropriate therapy service for children (5-18 years) who are in the child protection system or being reunified with their birth parents after time in foster care.

  • Child Protection Support Service

Our team of experienced social workers provides a culturally tailored support service for parents and professionals in the child protection system. We take referrals from local authorities and other agencies across the UK.

  • Become an AFRUCA Children's Champion

Volunteer your time by becoming an AFRUCA children’s champion. You will be one of our 100 strong team of volunteers helping to safeguard children.

  • Free Child Protection Sessions

We are offering free, basic Child Protection Sessions for Faith and Community Groups. The aim is to provide the opportunity to develop and strengthen child safeguarding within their organisations and among congregants.

  • AFRUCA Talks: Childrens Champions Sessions

Join us every other Saturday on zoom and facebook as we discuss parenting in Black and Ethnic communities. Contact Ekanem Robertson Child Protection Community Engagement Lead to find out more about how to get involved.

  • The Revive Project

The AFRUCA REVIVE Project works alongside local organisations across Manchester to deliver a flexible 10-week intervention for young people at risk of gang involvement and youth violence. As part of this project, we provide one to one mentoring for young people to help improve self esteem and strengthen their self identity.
